The USPTO issued The University of Arizona a patent for US 7,580,582 entitled “Methods for decoding corrupt JPEG2000 codestreams” recently.

This patent provides a method for decoding corrupt JPEG2000 codestreams for encoded digital imagery and video. The University of Arizona inventors for “Methods for decoding corrupt JPEG2000 codestreams” are Prof. Michael Marcellin, Prof. Ali Bilgin, and Dr. Zhenyu Wu. OTT is currently seeking potential licensees interested in licensing this technology for commercial development.
